Nigerian Archaeologist, Dr Lasisi, recognized Internationally as He receives the 2023 SAF Field Discovery Award

Dr. Olanrewaju Lasisi of the University of Virginia has won the 2023 SAF Field Discovery Award, presented by the Shanghai Archaeology Forum. His project, "Landscapes of Power: Architecture, Ritual, and Astronomy in the Making of the Yoruba World," investigates the link between social structure, rituals, and astronomy in the ancient Yoruba civilization.
